[Sanji doesn't care if it's underhanded or that people might get mad, but he rises bright and early to stake his claim on the kitchen before anyone else sneaks in. At least three other people mentioned that they're proficient in the kitchen -- which isn't usually a problem, but uh. That sure is a more competition when there's only one dingy kitchen on this stupid bus.
So forgive him if he seems a little protective of his spot, eyes shooting up to deliver any stranger a flat stare. Only women get a free pass, and Ash is very clearly lacking the necessary equipment in Sanji's mind]
[That's all the answer he'll give, and immediately sets to ignoring the fuck outta the other blond while he decides on what he wants to make. It seems... well, a little highbrow to make any of his usual dishes... maybe something simple like pancakes.]
Damn, we better have chocolate chips... [He doesn't even like sweet shit that much but stress has warped him into a shell of his former self, he WILL have chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast]
[Just because Sanji isn't looking for Ash doesn't mean he can be found. And perhaps it's no surprise, but he's in the kitchen, having taken up a corner and nursing a cup of coffee.
... Even though he hears Ash approach, he doesn't look up. Just stays seated before he wipes his face with a hand.]
Though given that Ash keeps his silence, Sanji eventually lifts his gaze and watches the other guy move about the kitchen before finally deciding he might as well break the lull first]
Did you recognize any of those shitty voices? It seemed like a couple of people did.
[ the most important thing here is the baby tiger, which gets a look when ash wanders into the kitchen but ... well. there’s not a whole lot of talking right now. does anyone feel like talking after that? ]
Sanji knew the risks coming out of his cabin, and it's why he doesn't bother with surprise and theatrics when the memory envelopes both him and Ash while they're strolling around. If anything, the pirate just arches his brow at the proceedings, listening to the two men yelling at each other once the battle becomes more heated:
"You guys are not my family--"
The only time the real Sanji's expression flinches, and even then, he merely stares directly into the sky until the memory fades and grants him peace.]
[ gotta love it when it's memshare week, huh? it was sort of a risk to be around anyone on weeks like this, especially if you had shit to hide, but hanging around in the cabin all week was kind of a hellish thought so
here he is
blinking after emerging from someone else's memory. ]
Yeah, I wasn't a fan of this week last time either.

If there's a difference today, it's just that he's settled for tea instead of food, giving the ceiling a brief stare between sips.

[A huff of irritation]
So I guess it's open season in camp, huh? Perfect. I'll stay in my cabin the rest of the week.
no subject
Hiding's not a bad idea, but your cabin mates are still there and---
[ and, y'know.
speaking of open season: Sanji's gonna get a lovely quick flash of something that's definitely Not His Memory, followed by something a little more... meaty (00:00 - 02:20) ]
