Another one of my role perks is I can write a note to someone once a week, anonymous. So it looks like we've got another one with that ability, too.

[Or maybe all of the role people do? Hm.]

In any case, what shit have you been doing recently that would prompt getting a note like that?

Huh. My role sponsor didn't offer me the ability to send notes. I wonder. . .

And honestly? I really don't know.

But alright, let's see... have you been actively seeking out other people with roles? Maybe that shit is a hint that you're on the right track.

-- First off, you can't really out yourself and go "hey shitheads, guess who the safety counselor is!" -- You're safe there.

Secondly, you gotta remember that a lot of of us probably had roles in our last game. Sure, it might make some shitheads suspicious, but it's easy to get around that.

For example: if you came to me asking what roles I thought were in play, I could throw off suspicion by saying I've been looking around, haven't found anything, but ask you to keep an eye out for me. Then you're gonna be more focused on a share partnership than my lying ass. See?

Well, that works if someone comes up to me asking about roles. But what if I ask them?

Mix a little truth in the lie! Say you want to figure out the roles early, because it ended up being a deciding factor in how your last game went.

Now of course, it's not like another role person can just. tell you. But if you're trustworthy enough, they might send a note, or use their role in your favor, or ask the directors if there's some way they can communicate effectively with you.

Anyway, there were a lot of roles in my game, and it took all of us accounting for each other to solve shit -- exactly why I wanna do the same here. Even if it ends up being a waste of time, better we try than sit on our shitty asses, eh?

You may be right. Roles weren't a huge deal in my game, but I can't deny that those who held them weren't a huge help in saving us.

But a lot of it was just awkward circumstances and Akechi's... Akechi-ness. That, and he uh... sorta got someone killed who was well-liked by the castle. [Pour one out for Varian]

That aside, while he could get stuck up his own ass, he was trying just as hard as the rest of us in his own way.
