[... Laughing in the text because you know why, Al]
Anyway, there were a lot of roles in my game, and it took all of us accounting for each other to solve shit -- exactly why I wanna do the same here. Even if it ends up being a waste of time, better we try than sit on our shitty asses, eh?
But a lot of it was just awkward circumstances and Akechi's... Akechi-ness. That, and he uh... sorta got someone killed who was well-liked by the castle. [Pour one out for Varian]
That aside, while he could get stuck up his own ass, he was trying just as hard as the rest of us in his own way.
[That has turned into the only Akechi appreciation thread there will ever be in this game (probably) and that's beautiful]
Yeah, I heard you knew him -- damn though, didn't realize you guys came from the same place. Is he really a detective? [AKECHI MENTIONED IT but who knows if it was the truth]
[... Reminded of when everyone gave poor Akechi shit for being a terrible Historian.
Quietly snickering to himself]
Well, I don't know how much Belph told you, but the Akechi from my castle got himself a boyfriend and I think is gonna run off to be an idol or some shit.
[I can't even remember but it's funnier when Sanji says it like that.]
[Sanji is right; it's not the emotion to express here at all. even Akira doesn't seem angry when he's talking about. Akechi is. . . a complicated subject]
. . .
[Akira doesn't say anything to that right away, if only because he too would have wanted Akechi to do right by everyone he fucked over instead of just running away. but what is there to be done about it now. . .?]
. . . at any rate, I'm glad there were some people there who cared about him.
[even if none of them could convince him to fix his own fuck ups]
no subject
. . .
You sound really experienced at this, senpai.
[cheeky little bastard is more like it]
no subject
I had a role in my last rodeo.
[OH HO, SENPAI IS BEING OPEN ABOUT SOMETHING?]
no subject
You did. . .?
What was it?
[Akira had none role and that's why he did okay in Blues]
no subject

Hah.
[a light huff, and Akira rests his elbow on the counter]
You may be right. Roles weren't a huge deal in my game, but I can't deny that those who held them weren't a huge help in saving us.
[Akechi being one of them, goes unsaid]
I guess I'll start snooping around to see what I can find. But at the very least? This note isn't about anyone's role.
no subject
Random question, but you knew -- well, know -- Akechi, right?
[He will get back to the note, he swears, but this was admittedly something Sanji had wanted to eventually bring up]
no subject
[don't bring Akechi up to the people from the castle, Belph says. and yet]
I do.
He's a-- a friend.
[for a definition of "friend"]
no subject
[Belph should've revised that statement a little. Don't bring Akechi up to anyone who isn't Disney Princess Sanji.]
1/2
[what]
no subject
[but for some reason he sounds SO RELIEVED]
no subject
[HE CAN'T DENY THAT]
But a lot of it was just awkward circumstances and Akechi's... Akechi-ness. That, and he uh... sorta got someone killed who was well-liked by the castle. [Pour one out for Varian]
That aside, while he could get stuck up his own ass, he was trying just as hard as the rest of us in his own way.
no subject
That sounds like the Akechi I know.
[an asshole and a jerk, but. . . still someone who tried. even if his reasons for trying were selfish]
He's actually from my world, you know? I knew him long before we both wound up in the mansion.
no subject
Yeah, I heard you knew him -- damn though, didn't realize you guys came from the same place. Is he really a detective? [AKECHI MENTIONED IT but who knows if it was the truth]
no subject
[a bit wry!! and weirdly fond, but not in an overt way]
And I guess he can be a good one when he tries.
no subject
Quietly snickering to himself]

[I can't even remember but it's funnier when Sanji says it like that.]
no subject
Yeah, Belph told me about that, too.
[just. . . lifts a hand to pinch the bridge of his nose]
Of course he takes the first opportunity to run away from the things he did wrong. Of course.
no subject
Ah, did he?
no subject
[well. . . it isn't his story to tell, but. it's not like Akechi is here, right?]
He did.
[said quietly]
And not before ruining a lot of lives. Some of them belonging to people I care about.
no subject
But he does sound disappointed, and shakes his head while he tops off the last of the batter, preparing to slide it into the oven]
I would've chewed his ass out if I knew. At least made him do right by everyone before he fucked off to his own happy ending.
no subject
. . .
[Akira doesn't say anything to that right away, if only because he too would have wanted Akechi to do right by everyone he fucked over instead of just running away. but what is there to be done about it now. . .?]

[even if none of them could convince him to fix his own fuck ups]
no subject
And then he reaches over and ruffles the other guy's hair, like he's a kid]
C'mon, let's get back on track. The note, right?
no subject
[Sanji is the second person to do that, and Akira makes a startled noise before pulling back and flattening his hair. rude!!]
Oh-- right.
So. . . I guess the note is about one of two things? Either my theories about camp, or my theories about who really killed Yu.
I'm not sure about the latter, especially since I've formulated some new theories since Sunday.
no subject
[Because that seems rather telling to Sanji, at least with his limited knowledge]
no subject
[so it probably couldn't be Guy]
