[Vash is quiet for a moment. He takes a long, long, long drink of his mug. Putting it down only once it's empty.]

God I hate this month. [It wasn't good enough that he had been kissing the wrong person, but Meryl wasn't even here to YELL at him anymore for it!]

[Ah! Who needs talking? Vash is just happy to sit and drink for awhile. Ordering himself another beer that he can enjoy sipping on. That is until he remembers that he's a bit of a blabber mouth at times.]

You know, if you ever wanted to talk about something and needed more advice than just your crew, Wolfwood is getting to be a better listener sometimes. He could use more practice. Oh, and me too, you know, when I'm not busy napping or something.

[Almost immediately, Sanji squeezes his eyes shut, as if to block out Vash's offer. It means... a lot to him, actually. Sometimes an unspoken bond of friendship is made all the stronger when voiced - but that's not the problem here.

This is not a talkable thing. He can not just share what happened without hating himself all the more. He's still working through the numb bitterness twisting his insides]
