006↠ ACTION
[It's sunny. And hot. And perhaps not the best weather to take a nap in while you're unabashedly unconscious.
... Which is too bad, seeing as Sanji's passed out under a tree located at the village's edge - clothes dirty and ruffled, no doubt collecting more dirt as he rolls in his uncomfortable slumber, the crook of his arm covering his eyes.
Go on. Wake him up. Be a good Samaritan.
And hell, even if you don't, Sanji will eventually stumble upon you -- or into you, if that's your thing. Later in the day he'll be all over the village insisting he's fine, no he's not drunk so stop trying to escort him back to bed. B| He can walk it off.]
[ooc: MALLYNAP EFFECT. Touch him and your character will share a memory with Sanji. It can be a memory of his or a memory of your character's; just specify in the subject line what you prefer. |D Any memory is free game, and the scope of it is at our discretion, but keep in mind both characters will view it until the memory ends or they escape the "boundary". (Just imagine the memory as a bubble and if a character walks far enough for whatever reason, they pop it.) Also note they're still in Luceti - no teleporting anywhere. Just assume the characters are mostly slack-jawed and staring at a tree for the duration.
I also endorse all time-breaking. Tis but a flimsy wall in our way.]

[action]
At Sanji's movement and subsequent shout the guardian is shaken from his brief reverie; his wings lift, feathers ruffling as he automatically draws back a little in turn.]
How is this— it isn't possible.
[Though he'd learned long ago that in Luceti anything is possible, his first reaction is to deny it. To frown at Sanji, expression unreadable, rather than watch his previous self fly after Sakura and implacably summon a handful of crystalline shards.]
This was... some time ago.
[action]
He's always been aware that Yue isn't the friendliest person in the world, and that's never bothered the chef - he's befriended far worse, and a laconic nature doesn't equate to mean-spiritedness - but as his angered stare returns to the guardian commanding vines to overtake Sakura and hold her captive in the air, Sanji's expectations go to war. He has no idea what's going on and it pisses him off]
She's just a girl! What are you doing to her?!
[action]
[Though his tone remains even, his posture unchanged, one might note that Yue refuses to look directly at his past self or Sakura, observing only from the periphery of his vision as he pretends utter unconcern.]
To become the master of the Clow Cards... and their guardians.
She had to prove her ability.
[action]
But--! [It's obvious how little of the situation Sanji understands, or cares to. He's seeing an injustice first, a test second. But there's little he can do in a memory. After a tense moment wrought with frustration, his fists loosen and his attention returns to the grim scene.]
[action]
Of course, if Touya had been the one watching Yue would likely have been even less happy. He isn't certain whether to be thankful or not for that, though.
He simply waits, knowing what he would have seen if he had turned to watch the entire scene, waiting—
And then the bell rings out, piercing the still air, and Yue glances over sharply in an echo of his past self's startled reaction even as he addresses Sanji once more.]
There. You'll see.
[action]
She holds up a card and strikes it with her new weapon - Wind, entrap the one standing yonder! WINDY!. And at first Sanji is as dubious as Yue's past self, who has made no efforts to retreat. His eyes glow... and then in the same second, widen when the realization hits and the air bowls over his form, trapping him; the wind is no longer under his command.
He's lost this battle.]
[action]
...it is over. Should we not return now?
[However this works, he has no idea, but assumes it must be by Malnosso contrivance. Perhaps Sanji knows. Perhaps neither one of them knows and they'll be trapped in his memories forever, but Yue rather doubts that one. Whatever the means, though, he wants out of this and away.]
[action]
... Sorry, I don't know how to make this shit stop. [Unbidden, he flicks his attention back at the memory, at the young girl trying to embrace the winged guardian as both a comrade and a friend... and then the scene suddenly cuts out. He startles at the glaring sunlight that has replaced the moon in the sky]
[action]
He very nearly trades places with Yukito right then and there, but the idea has an unpleasant feel of running away, so he does not. Something in his demeanor, however, says clearly that he still wishes to.]
...what was the cause of that?
[action]
[In this case, one of Yue's. And now he knows more than the guardian had ever planned to share, no doubt. The thought earns a thick sigh. He curls the hand into a fist, then shoves it into his pocket]
I had no right see. [While he is far from convinced it was so necessary for Yue to act like that, neither can he deny he knows nothing about the circumstances. It... wasn't his place] Sorry about that.
[action]
[There really isn't an easy response to that, so Yue only frowns and watches an indeterminate point in the distance for several long heartbeats, wings shifting in slight, unconscious movements. Just that small loss of his normal controlled reserve is sign enough of how uncomfortable he is, but— such things are beginning to be almost normal in a place like this.
He finally inclines his head slightly, gaze shifting toward Sanji but not quite meeting his eyes.]
It was not your fault.
[action]
His apology still stands.
He lets the silence linger on a bit longer, though, until at last his wayward stare focuses on Yue's face again]
What was her name? [The girl in his memories. The one who bested him]
[action]
...Sakura.
My mistress.
[action]
Sakura-chan... [He tests the name for himself, and the smile widens slightly] What a powerful little girl.
[action]
...Touya's younger sister.
[So watch what you say about her around either one of them, Sanji.]
She could potentially become one of the most powerful magicians to ever live.
[action]
... Bwuh?]
So you're-- [Face openly bemused, Sanji stares and points to the winged man] You and your mistress's brother...
[Damn, Yue. You are deeply invested in that family, aren't you?]
[action]
Go ahead. Finish that sentence.]
[action]
... So. Anyway.
Yukito's late for work, isn't he? [He knows everyone's schedules like the back of his hand.]
[action]
Yue blinks once at the change of subject, then after a moment gives a slow nod. Fine. Let's go with that, then; it's a much more comfortable topic for discussion.]
Even more so now. We were on our way there.
[action]
... I might not be into work for a few days, though. [For understandable reasons, he hopes]
[action]
I believe Yukito will continue to cope, until such time as you feel well enough to return.
[action]
[action]
[He starts to turn away, then hesitates.]
Do you... require further assistance? I could find someone for you, if you like.
[action]
Don't worry, I'll make it back one way or another.
[action]
Very well.
[And with that he completes the turn and starts toward Seventh Heaven, since Yukito is quite late indeed, now.]
