Go on. Wake him up. Be a good Samaritan.



And hell, even if you don't, Sanji will eventually stumble upon you -- or into you, if that's your thing. Later in the day he'll be all over the village insisting he's fine, no he's not drunk so stop trying to escort him back to bed. B| He can walk it off.]

[Just taking a walk through the village, all is normal and well.

Oh look, it's Sanji under a tree! Must be taking a nap... wait, why is Sanji under a tree. Ace will just go over and shake him gently to wake him up.]

[Ace, you might have to experience this memory alone. All Sanji does is mumble slightly and shift his weight further from that insistent shaking while the surroundings abruptly change from forest to... the deck of a ship. Right next to the railing, in fact, with water glittering vibrantly in the sunlight, if either choose to look over it. If not for being so disorienting, it might be beautiful in its familiarity.

And they're not alone. There's a blond boy in a white apron no older than ten settled a foot or two next to Ace on the deck floor, a disregarded pail of water and mop by his side. So engrossed by the unopened pack of cigarettes clutched in his hands that he pays no mind to the strangers... or so that appears to be the case.

After a second's pause, he glances cautiously over his shoulder - then the other one - until he deems the desk safe for shenanigans and climbs to his feet. Another moment of hesitancy, and then he opens up the cigarette package.]

[She is sitting by the fountain as she is wont to do, taking pleasure in the return of her body by spying on everything that passes by with hidden eyes. She sees you stumbling by, though not where you could see her unless you were directly looking and a hand sprouts from the wall and gently tugs the back of your shirt.

Something is wrong. That much she can tell. And she is tired of things being wrong]

[Sanji spares a moment to wish he'd slapped a sign on his back saying "NO TOUCHING", much as it burns his heart to hold himself at a distance from the tender embraces of the Luceti ladies. But this experiment is intrusive and unnecessary, and he groans the moment he feels the tug stopping him short.

He also stares blankly at the wall showcasing nothing but a delicate, somehow disapproving hand.] Robin-chan?

[Selphie was originally off to make a food run but the heat of the day has her taking a long detour through the shaded areas of the village when she spots someone lying in the dirt.]

[She runs through the brush toward the person when they roll over and Selphie recognizes this face straight away. He looks pretty beat up but otherwise in one piece (lol pun) as she makes contact with Nala and sends a wave of healing out at Sanji before she kneels down beside him in her coveralls and tank top as she gives him a rough shake.]

Sanji, wake up!

[Selphie, you are not known for your light touches, are you?

Sanji's head lolls viciously from side to side like a ragdoll's until his brain takes notice and declares a state of emergency. The man's eyes blink open not long after that]

S-Selphie-chan... [Hnngh. Dizzy. Can he go back to sleep?]

[Sometime when Sanji is making his way home, Vash will be happily poking his head down off the Straw Hat roof to wave at him.

[Everything is perfectly normal, from Sanji's slurred tone to the way he weaves along the path.

[He is in fact okay! However, as her words don't reach him, Sanji makes no move in his sleep. He's still and silent and very clearly not awake yet]

... Except even for him, the method of Sanji's extraction - which is, in this case, to roughly elbow the man away with a turbulent expression - is a little out of touch with the crime. He stumbles back and stares around their morphing surroundings with a grimace stamped on his face]

["Approach" is a strong word for it - rather, Sanji slowly shifts over at an angle like a drunken crab, one that stops every now and then to massage some of the cobwebs out of his head.

[It's probably not a good idea for Perona to be out right now - she's still more or less recovering from her kidnapping - but being stuck in bed with nothing to do is terrible, especially when you can't actually sleep well at night. She had hoped some fresh air and a bit of shopping would have helped (to at least get out of the grimy clothes she had on before), but it can't cure how horribly tired she is.

Perona's wobbling herself, and her vision is blurred and wiggly from lack of a proper sleep - nightmares will do that to you - and she even looks a whole lot different as well. For one thing, she's without her usual posh get up, her makeup isn't applied, and her hair is down for once. She really doesn't look a thing like herself, not is she really acting it, given by how she's about to collide with an equally woozy chef.

[So what happens when the ghost princess runs into the perverted chef, when neither are feeling up to their usual roles?

In this case, they manage not to careen into a wall or tumble toward the ground, lucky them. But Sanji does stumble slightly upon impact and reaches out to steady her on reflex, giving not a thought to his condition until it's too late and his hand has settled on her shoulder]

Ah-- shi-- Miss, I'm-- [After the unsettled series of starts and stops, Sanji blinks owlishly down at her. He never forgets a shade of hair or a lady's body measurements]

[Miyabi had actually been on her way to the forest to go pick any herbs or wild berries that grew there, but the uncoordinated chef bobbing about every which way is a little more pressing of a matter. Miyabi drops her little basket that she was going to store things in and quickly goes over to help her brother. He looks like he's about to fall over.]

[For once, Sanji is in no state to argue - or at least, not argue with Miyabi. He hears her call and turns, with a halfhearted smile he's mustered up. He looks like shit and knows it.]

Miyabi-chan~! [Still, he's so very glad to see her after weeks of staring at a room with only one locked door.]

[This day had really gotten off to a terrible start. And since he can't very well go home just yet, Ion's taken to wandering around the village, head down and looking rather out of it himself. Which is probably why he doesn't even acknowledge Sanji when he starts to walk past him. And of course, since they both have just about the best luck ever, this will probably end in a collision of some kind.]

That was somewhat part of the plan, but upon seeing an unconscious Sanji perched up against a tree, it all flies out the window. She hasn't heard from him in a while (wonder why 8|), and the times she did peek into Seventh Heaven he wasn't around. Don't tell her...?]

Her feet patter across the Strawhat floors, and Nami's somewhere in the house letting her go, and she just really needs to see Sanji—

Elicia-chan? Are you okay!? [He doesn't ask why she's here, or stop to think that maybe he shouldn't have opened the door at all in his condition. She sounded worried and that's all he can focus on]

Because it's technically the 10th when Nami arrives home. It's an hour or so before sunrise, and hopefully Sanji has managed to get some kind of sleep by then. The extra weight on his bed may wake him. Either that, or the damp orange hair he's in danger of inhaling with every other breath. She's haphazardly sprawled on top of his covers.

Well, the Malnosso have always been horrible trolls with her re-arrivals to Luceti. This probably takes the cake. B|]

[Sense of direction finally working to his advantage, Zoro almost trips over the chef while on his way to the bar. His first instinct is to feel concern, then annoyance. Leave it to the chef to reappear this far out of the way. What a royal pain in the ass.]

[The world tilts sideways the moment his hand lands on Sanji's arm. Zoro can feel his thoughts pushing and pulling, pulsing in strange circles until the world around him falls apart and suddenly it's just him and Sanji and the early morning light dawning on Thriller Bark.

There they were, with Kuma and explosions and Sanji-- another one, somehow-- cursing and falling to the ground. Idiot, idiot. Not your turn. It was-- Luffy. No way out but through the bubble, and there was Kuma giving him a taste of agony but, no, he knew what was coming even as he watched his own mouth open, his knowledge filling in the words a split-second before they happened.

Just... let me decide the location.

And there it was: that familiar explosion of pain wracking through his body, digging into his bones and cutting lines through the spaces under his skin. For that one long moment, Zoro found himself lost in the sensation of his second death rushing up to meet him.]

[As if Zoro's voice wouldn't find some way to slice through the heavy curtains of Sanji's subconscious. The man's approach probably earned a reflexive twitch, and he only just finishes speaking before Sanji opens an eye and treats the swordsman with a standard "Hello to you too, Shithead." glare. Stop touching him, he can get up by himself--

Or he would, until the chef feels it too - reality sliding backwards to places it shouldn't. He doesn't immediately place the scene - shit, he just woke up and Sanji isn't sure what's happening - but then he sees himself crumple to the ground, and Zoro stand to face Kuma alone.

The scenes playing out in front of them are not ones found in his own memory, but Sanji vividly remembers finding the aftermath; apprehensive knots in his stomach begin to twist and turn into themselves the longer he watches. Droplets of sweat dot his forehead. He doesn't want to look -- but can't look away.

Just... let me decide the location.

Sanji isn't prepared. There is nothing familiar about the pain punching the breath out of his lungs so he can't even scream. It wasn't his to experience. Zoro took that burden on himself. This is his pain. And distantly, Sanji's aware of himself writhing on the ground like there's hot, shattered glass wedged under every part of his skin; the agony stretches on for an eternity.]

Let us pretend it's still the ninth. And let's go with one of her memories.

[ She was never one to criticize when and where people chose to take their naps...and under a tree was definitely not a bad idea. But she couldn't help but feel like something was off when she saw the man out under the tree, clothes looking like he had just been through a tornado, passed out like no tomorrow. She approaches him, before lightly shaking his shoulder. ]

[It will take more than some light shaking to snap this one out of his deep stupor. At the sound of her voice, however, his eyebrows do knit in concentration - like he wouldn't mind waking up if he could. The process is just taking a moment.

Though in the meantime, she'll have plenty to be concerned with. The scenery is changing rapidly into something that's not exactly Luceti]

[Yue had been on his way to work at Seventh Heaven – or rather, on his way there so that Yukito could work, though it all amounts to the same thing – but upon noticing a familiar individual who's been missing for several days, well. His course alters somewhat, bringing him to a landing not far away from the staggering chef, concern... well, not really visible unless one counts the slight downward quirk to his mouth.]

[Almost, but not quite a question. And behind it lies "are you sure you should be wandering around out here" and "it's good to have you back" which he'd never say in a million years; that will have to wait until he trades places with Yukito.]

[Ah, his favorite winged individual... who is out in broad daylight. Sanji's so used to meetings under the cover of moonlight that he stares bewildered at the guardian, and then turns a confused gaze to the sky, checking to make sure the right orb is up there.

Nope, still the sun. And to complicate matters, all that head-twisting has made him dizzy]

Yeah. And of course not in shitty prime condition. [No surprise there. He manages another step, then two... before the hand he's got on a wall loses its grip and sets the man stumbling]
