001↠ Action/Voice
[There is something extraordinarily jarring about finding yourself in a chilled, unfamiliar forest, when two seconds ago you were under the sea, fighting off a legion of crazed fishmen. The blonde man clad in the usual New Feather's garb is none too pleased with this switch once he gathers his bearings, and he sets off in a direction that might be right, straining to hear any sounds of battle, only half-mindful of the journal he hasn't ditched yet. The hows and whys can wait until he's back with his crew.
He'll come across the town, eventually, once a certain child skipping school sets him straight. And it will feel like the longest half hour of Sanji's life, hearing what she says to him -- and once she's safely back home and past her tears, he's going to... head straight to the grocery.
Cigarettes. Need them. Now. He flies through a pack of the damn things before grabbing another, shoving it into a flimsy pocket like it's his last sane lifeline. It might as well be. Navigating back home (...home), along an all-too familiar path, makes his head and chest hurt from the seeping memories.
Heh, what a load of shitty bull. He doesn't want to be here. Except he sorta does. Maybe. And damn, it'd be nice if he could make up his mind.
There will be no such luck today. He goes home, combing the house for available crew members; any kind of anchor and stability. And after that, there's the clothing shop for his suits. Then Seventh Heaven. Then tracking down every person his memory supplies a name for - Xion. Miyabi. Sayo. Katara. Vash. Wolfwood. Isamu. Shit how many are there? - until his head feels too full and he goes to collapse at the bar around evening. Only then does the journal open.]
... Oi. [Fuck, where does one begin? Let's start with a name] It's Sanji. [Pause, and then with tired ire] Guess you shitheads aren't rid of me yet.
[ooc: If you think Sanji would look for your character... then he would probably look for your character. XD So yeah. << RUN INTO HIM ANYWHERE, previous CR or otherwise! He's all over town, and I care not for these things called continuity and time (save for who finds him in the forest - that honor goes to Elicia.)]

Jesus, the fuck did he do? He'd like to think he's good with kids, but apparently not the ones with overactive imaginations. Does she really think...?
That's impossible. (Right?) He's on Fishman Island. (Really?) Shit, people don't just magically teleport to another place without any rhyme or reason, not even on the Grand Line. (Keep telling yourself that.)
He holds his forehead with one hand, anchors himself against the ground with the other. Please, please stop crying. He's sorry; he doesn't know why yet but he's so sorry.] Hey, maybe I just need a second to remember, okay? [At this point he doesn't know what he's saying; he just wants the little girl to feel better] I'm sure I'll remember soon!
Re: [Action]
F-first papa left, and then you went away, and now I found you and you don't remember nothing!
[She drops the compass on the earth before crying into her balled up fists, hiccuping and weeping and all those things kids do in a panicked rosy sort of state.]
I don't want you and papa to forget me—!!
[Action]
Papa.
Strange, how it's that particular word which calls forth the strangest memory - another lifetime, where a little girl cried out for her father. She dreamed they put him under the ground. And Sanji had held her until she'd stopped crying, promising that it wasn't true; because he was right in front of her, after all. No need for tears.
... One of the sweetest lies he'd never lived]
... Elicia-chan...
Re: [Action]
N-not little miss...
[Action]
... You used a compass to find me?
Re: [Action]
But she nods and holds said compass up between her little hands. It's pointing straight at him.]
I-it's Uncle Jack's. It p-points to what you want mostest.
I wanted to find you and papa... s-so I...
[Action] 1/3
[Action] wait I meant out of two. 8|a 2/2
[Action]
You're grounded!
[Action]
Okay. [he mutters into her hair, smiling weakly] I won't go anywhere.
Re: [Action]
[She curls up closer, holding on for dear life.]
Don't say that! Don't say you'll be back, or you're gonna stay, or any of those things, 'cause when you and the others say that, you go away...
[And she's hoping with all her heart you didn't just ruin everything by saying that, because if you go now...]
I just wanna... I just wanna play and have more walks, like before... okay...?
[Action]
[Another firm squeeze. He takes a thick breath to calm his thumping heart, then lets out a small laugh]
But I can't go on walks or play if I'm grounded for long.
Re: [Action]
[A-all right! She smiles and jumps back, her stomach still burning with that sort of nervousness one can find in re-finding what was lost. And she makes fists. Determined little fists.
And what comes out of her mouth is fast and off-topic, because now that you're here, you have to get that look off your face and be your normal self, or else you're not 100% here.]
I won a superhero at fighting!! I won Ed and Luke at fighting, too!
And I kissed a octopus to save his friends from being food!
[Action]
You... kissed an octopus?
Re: [Action]
Yeah!! Miss Robin brought him over! He was a king, and he had big sad looking eyes and a lot of legs!!
[Action]
Aaah, I see. Sounds like a octopus, alright!
But how does a kiss save his friends, huh?
Re: [Action]
He was cursed and all his friends was gonna be eaten as sea food! Only a kiss from a fair maiden was gonna break the curse!
[Action]
[All real smiles on his end, listening with eager determination, tuning out the steady realization of what talking to this girl means. He isn't quite ready for it all yet. So instead he listens to her story, like it's the most important thing in the world]

Re: [Action] 1/2
I fought Mr. Luke, and Mr. Superhero! They had swords and bats and stuff, but that didn't scare me at all!
