week 3 | Thursday
[This entire day was just proof of why Sanji needs to get a leash for Natsuo. Given how loud he'd been, of course the entire goddamn castle overheard his conversation with the younger Ion.
Really, he should leave well enough alone. If the kid is as sick as he said, company is not going to do much for the body.
Or that's what he tells himself, even as he starts making tea, a mild flavor that hopefully won't upset the stomach, and hunts down the room that Ion shares with Fitz.]
... Worst comes to worst, he'll just tell me to screw off.
[Muttering that under his breath. NOT THAT ION WOULD, he seems like a nice kid. Stressed out, but nice.
... Might as well knock on the door and announce his presence]

I liked him because I couldn't predict him. Friends, though? I don't know about that part. I haven't offered anyone here such, given...
[ He isn't likely to be a very long lasting friend. He'd rather not offer friendship only to tear it away from someone else not of his own volition. ]
Still, I hadn't expected anything like what happened earlier.
I lost my patience. I shouldn't be losing my patience.
[ He's... not blaming Natsuo, surprisingly. It's almost like he only expects Natsuo to be so unintentionally callous. ]

I mean, we're stuck in a shitty game where we gotta kill each other.
... Surprised this is the first time you've lost it.
[Sanji loses his shit at Natsuo every other second, let's be real. Everyone has likely seen it.]

[ Frankly. If Sanji has any ability to put two and two together he can guess easily what Ion's referring to. ]
People are people regardless of their circumstances. It's just that right now, both consequence and incentive are entirely too strong, and entirely too close.
[ But these circumstances cannot be viewed as anything special. It's not an excuse for him having slipped up. ]
... We still don't know what good and evil even mean, in the context of this game.

[A shrug.]
Or maybe there isn't any good or evil here. Each time we send someone off to die for their crimes, we get to do so knowing most of them were killed because our hosts blackmailed them into it.
[...]
I prefer it that way, to be honest. It's all shitty circumstance. And poor luck.
