shit i know some who hate happy endings bc they feel it's too sugary and unrealistic

tragedies feel more honest to them

but then u got people who like happiness bc life has never treated them kindly so its nice to see even fictional characters get a reprieve

The world is tough. I don't think there's anything wrong finding escapism in your entertainment. Even if it can be a little too sugary sweet, yes.
